Living in the Unknown

Episode 43

Living with the unknown used to feel impossible for me. I remember graduating college and thinking, for the first time in my life I don't have a plan, I don't have a school I am attending next year, I don't have any idea what I really want to do… WTF?!

Like seriously, when we step back and we look at what society does to us, it's really something uh? Youll go to school until you are about 22/23 years old, then they say good luck bitches!!! LOL, it's crazy!

You're basically coddled until you graduate then you’re on your own.

I used to think well I guess I should just go for it, it's all a learning experience, which is great, but it is a bit crazy. Then people wonder why we all have issues with anxiety? I mean my whole generation and generations before us had plans sometimes for years ahead of time and now all of the sudden were left with the unknown. It's scary! And add the stress of starting a business, it sounds almost impossible.

Over the past few years my business has actually become one of the most routine and helpful unknowns in my life. It was like jumping into an ice bath when I graduated, and now I feel like the tub is lukewarm, not perfect but it's getting there. And living with the unknown was/is not the easiest thing for me, but it's all a part of it.

What about you? How does the unknown affect you?
