"The Opposite of Should is Desire" with Leah Pardee

Episode 91

Leah Pardee is a Manifestation Teacher, Breathwork Guide and Business Coach.  She hosts the Bare Naked Soul Podcast and is the author of her memoir Confessions of an Uncaged Soul.  She teaches you how to move through fear so you can manifest your dreamiest, juiciest, most fully expressed life.

After reading Leah's (@itsleahpardee) Book Confessions of an Uncaged Soul I knew she would be a great fit for our podcast, The End in Mind. In Leah's book, she shares her real life experience of healing; she talks about her beliefs and what held her back most when it came to starting to live life as her true self. Things that I so directly related to.

One of my favorites that stuck with me was when Leah shared her thought process around her friends and what their gifts were. She talks about how each person in her friend group had a thing: one was into art, one was into music, another loves cooking etc. This held Leah back when it came to her belief around what she could do until she opened up her mindset. She writes that she realized that just because her friends were good at writing, why couldn't she also be? Eventually she even published the book I read.

This really got me thinking - what if we continued to stay with these beliefs that basically hinder our ability to share our information or story with the world? Wouldn’t we actually be causing more harm than good?

Intuitive investing

Episode 90

When I was 15, my dad passed away. I was thrown into a situation with finances that I would have never expected for myself. One week after he passed I was already processing the fact that I probably couldn't afford college, and might even have to pick up a job to help support myself and my mom.

It wasn't until I received a letter in the mail that everything changed. I was notified that I would be inheriting stock that my father had managed, and it was only for me because my mom and my dad were still legally divorced.

In a matter of minutes I went from thinking that I couldn't afford to buy my next lunch at school to managing stock as a 15-year-old. I was challenged to make financial decisions that I grew up with, and damn, I was scared.

But here's the thing, I didn’t let my fear cripple my experience. I realized that I needed to learn; I was extremely lucky to have many financially intelligent people around me to guide me, but I knew at the end of the day it was me making the decisions, not them.

I remember thinking that I could go to college, and I actually had the chance to look at school outside of possibly taking a few classes here and there. I could manage my investments to support my college education, and I could even manage them to help support myself while I was studying. There I was, my life changed in an instant. This is one of the many reasons why I have leaned into an alternative path - I realized at 15 that anything in life is possible. And if we play our cards right, we may even be able to use these miracles to continue to lead us down a path that originally we thought may never be possible.

This week we were talking miracles - if you don't believe in them, stay tuned for this week's podcast episode.

If time is infinite isn't our success?

Episode 89

Infinite means: limitless or endless in space, extent, or size; impossible to measure or calculate.

If we go in to business and life with this mindset, we are giving ourselves the opportunity to see our accomplishments in every piece of what we do. I find that in myself, as a perfectionist, when I would set goals and miss them, or not finish them by the timeline I had given myself, my self talk would get worse, I would feel so down that I wouldn't know what to do next because all I had been focused on was this goal. But, when I focus on my successes coming day by day, or minute by minute, then I am reminded of how hard I work, and the small things that have led me to huge opportunities. Keeping my emotions geared towards driving my business, rather than beating myself up.

Do you find that goals hinder your movement in your business when you’re unable to reach them?

Phoenix of Entrepreneurship with MaggieLynnCoaching

Episode 88

What do intuitive entrepreneurs do when we need to pivot our businesses?

We as HSP and empathic business owners have a hard time saying goodbye to our businesses that have brought us so much love and light! So when it's time for us to move on, a lot of the time we have a lot of resistance around this step.

This week's podcast episode, with @maggielynncoaching, is all about adjusting and moving your business to actually work with you, not against you. Maggie walks us through adjusting her business from a brick and mortar to an online brand. She shares with us the ups and downs of this shift.

I always find it interesting when people think that having an online business looks “easier”, what do you think?

Too Busy To Podcast with Rosemarie

Episode 87

Rosemarie and I had such a lovely conversation on this week's episode, we talked about all things promoting. If you are having trouble with putting yourself out there,  this week's episode is for you! Rosemarie says that when shes chatting with potential podcast developers one of their biggest hang ups is having all of the things Before getting started, I know I can relate to this.

My first big question to my editor was “What mic should I get?” LOL! Rosemarie says that the mic should be the last thing on our radar when it comes to Podcast development.

The first key to launching a successful podcast is having a direction, who are you speaking to? What are you talking about? Why is this a message that needs to be heard by your audience? Have you been thinking about starting a podcast?

Zero energy? Lets change that!

Episode 86

Sometimes having no energy is a sign that we actually need to be slowing down…. What if we started to give ourselves permission to relax? On a daily basis? What would that look like for you? Here is what I like to do to relax…

  • Walking with my baby bailey 🤎 check out my stories to follow along
  • Relaxing in a hot bath after working hours and watching my favorite real housewives series (obviously)
  • Sitting and doing absolutely nothing, that's right. Sometimes I just sit and take in what's around me. I especially like doing this after I have worked on a project in our house. I will just sit on the couch and stare at my work, even if it's not perfect. Sean frequently catches me doing this, he thinks I am Cray cray LOL
  • Walking or staring at nature. Watching life around me gives me life, it reminds me that the small things in life don't matter, it reminds me how amazing it is that people and myself are even walking on this planet!
  • I have many other practices that now have become daily rituals, which I hope eventually will grow into habits.

So what does real relaxation look like for you?

Urgency is unnessicary for the Perfectionist Business owner

Episode 85

Here's the thing about us perfectionists, we don't need urgency, we need energy. We are constantly working, analyzing, developing etc. But if our perfectionism is rooted in scarcity what are we actually creating with all of this energy?

The interesting thing about today's society is that it is rare that people call themselves out on their shit, right? But we healing perfectionists want to be the BEST at healing, so here we are again expending so much energy looking at every thought, and analyzing.  Is this a productive thought? Is this a limiting belief? What is tripping me up here?

No wonder we are so damn tired - once we find out we’re perfectionists, we’re busy trying to be a perfect perfectionist LOL. It's actually kind of funny once I think about it (imagining myself doing this overanalysis of my mind constantly, then wondering why I need a coffee in the morning HAH).

With that being said - we don't need the same type of guidance as others, we need to be spoken to, treated with tenderness and kindness so we have the space/energy to develop.

What do you think?

Unpacking my Additions to Emotions

Episode 84

I have addictions to emotions. Yup, I used to think that patterns only played out in things I did, or how I interacted with people, but our patterns actually run much deeper than that. Our patterns flow around words, emotions, thoughts, and all of them funnel through a path in our brain, making some of those pathways much smoother, slipperier, easier to fall into than others. Something I like to think about it this way - if you go back in time to a moment where you're asked to say something great about yourself, an accomplishment, an achievement, something you did, just you, think about how that idea processes. For most of us it's uncomfortable to think about. We feel cocky, entitled, braggy even.

But that’s only because those patterns in our brains feel sketchy and uncomfortable, leaving us with the feeling of uncomfortability that if we are saying something good about ourselves, we doubt that…. Let that sink in for a moment.

Manifesting through comparison will only lead to scarcity

Episode 83

Manifesting can work in both positive and negative ways. Basically, manifesting is a form of adding energy into an idea, thought, or situation. So of course if we are constantly focused on the things we don't want in our lives our brains will continue to look for those things, adding more and more energy into outcomes that we might see as less desirable. The same for things that we want, if we continue to think about all of the abundance we have in our lives, our brains will continue to look for reasons behind that.

So what happens when we put comparison into play when we are manifesting? Comparison can lead us down a path towards scarcity, a pretty linear connection. The definition of comparison is a consideration or estimate of the similarities or dissimilarities between two things or people. So if we are using social media to compare our lives, we're bound to feel that we are lacking. But what if we shifted to following people that are similar to us? What type of energy would that create for you?

Relocating or completely restructuring your lifestyle with Suzi Edwards

Episode 82

One of my favorite things about my discussion with @suzi_intuitive this week on The End in Mind is that we were able to define what leading an intuitive business can do for your life and vice versa. Suzi has an inspiring story about how one day she decided to pick up her life and move to Italy. Once she set the intention, it felt like a matter of days before she and her daughter had found their dream home in Italy. The message she shares this week is that really anything we want in our lives, we have the power to create. Suzi shares the ins and outs of what it takes to be a master creator, saying we have a tendency to make things really “hard” but in reality, those things are already in the process of coming to fruition. So the more we are able to have patience and allow them to unfold, the less resistance we will feel through change.

What do you think about changing and developing a life that you love?
