Trauma is in everyone's lives (w/ Kim V Keane)

Episode 61

I used to think that the “trauma” word was something to be afraid of. When I was growing up trauma was one of those things you just never talked about. I am sure most of us felt like that.

Once I entered into the healing community as an entrepreneur I noticed that the word trauma wasn't scary, instead it had taken on this new meaning. I realized that I had thought of the word trauma as something negative for so long, almost like it's something I had to hide, or I would never even admit that I might have had some in the first place. But here's the thing, we all have trauma, some form of it. It's not like our whole lives could be so perfect to the point where we never experienced anything that may have tainted or impacted how we approach life. But the good thing is that since we all have some form of it isn't that the beauty

This really stuck with me, as a highly sensitive person which I chatted about with @kimvkeane on this week's podcast episode. If we all experience trauma shouldn't there be peace in that?

I find that when I entered this community of online entrepreneurs it was like opening up a door to a community that quite frankly I didn’t think existed. And to be honest I didn’t know if I would fit in, but I was so wrong. I finally found my people, we think similarly, we talk the same way, we focus on what actually matters and how we impact the world. I am so grateful for it.

And the added bonus was that I was actually creating a community of my own in the midst of it, which has now reached over 3,000 people! How amazing? I am so grateful for every single one of you. You just truthfully have changed my life and the way I think about people.

So tell me, do you feel like you have found your community? On or offline?

Creating content with frequently asked questions!

Episode 60

Most of the time I hear that my clients feel that their lives are not exciting enough to create content around. Here's the thing, your life doesn't have to be super exciting for someone to want to work with you especially when you are just starting, they do however want to know that you’re credible. So instead of focusing on what we may be lacking with our content, let's focus on how your content can add more value to your followers' lives.

Some of the content I like to focus on with my clients is by going over frequently asked questions or statements from their clients. What keeps coming up for them? It's likely that if it keeps coming up for one client it keeps coming up for all of them!

What would you do if everyone told you not to do something?

Episode 59

This week I have another lovely quest that I am so excited about! Carina is a boutique owner that has really found her niche online. Now she runs a large community of women that she supports to develop their own online boutiques.

What I love about this week's episode is how much Carina shared with us. She opens up about financial difficulties after purchasing 7 businesses that had some serious issues. She and her husband fell into a difficult time in their lives but they were able to prevail, by still sticking with the very first business she bought at age 26, a donut shop, and filing for bankruptcy.

She says that the first place you can go wrong as a business owner is getting greedy. This was a message I really needed to hear, I am so pumped for you all to hear it as well!

Being the Tree with HealWithKayla

Episode 59

This week's episode was again another awakening. It's so interesting that once I launch a podcast all of the messages that I need to hear seem to find me, especially when I am speaking with such amazing guests!

@healwithkayla and I dive into what it means to rest, and why taking rest in business is so important for what we do. I recently have seen that when I am able to stay grounded and really take time for myself working in my business is actually much more enjoyable. Kayla talks about how she took time off when she knew her body needed it, and that's what I love so much about this episode, we really got into what it means to start listening to you!

Hana Miller; The Balanced Woman

Episode 57

When you’re first launching a business it's easy to feel like the family outcast. Especially when you are the first entrepreneur in your family, but even if you aren't, people still tend to look at you differently when you go all-in on investing in you.

Through this outcast feeling it becomes easier to seclude yourself, in fact its natural and sometimes necessary because you need to 1. Focus on growing a business and 2. If you’re launching online, most of the time you're working from home anyways, and it's not like you have team members to collaborate with.

In this weeks podcast episode with our lovely guest, Hana, @thebalancedhealer, we discuss every level of fear and rejection that comes from family, loved ones, that are simply just worried for our future. They honestly have the best intentions, but how as we the the “different” family members stay on the path, keep the trust within ourselves, despite what our loved ones say.

Hana is a licensed acupuncturist and certified holistic health and life coach. Through her signature online program, The Balanced Woman (https://hanamedicine.com/the-balanced-woman/), she empowers women to heal their bodies, master their emotions, and transform their lives through Eastern Medicine and Hormonal Balancing. "WeCrashed" The looping thought analysis

Episode 56

Last week we shared all about anxiety, and how it logically tries to get out of the spiral when I start to feel those lengthy emotions of fear settling in. And I wanted to make it clear that these emotions are good! Fear and anxiety help keep us balanced, it can stop us from making impulsive decisions in our business that could impact us negatively in time. So every time I feel these emotions I do sit with it, and ask myself where is this coming from? I try to think about it in the way of this emotion benefiting me?

For example… If I am thinking about investing with a new coach, but I have this fearful emotion arise, I'll ask myself - what is this bringing up?

  • A fear about an investment?
  • A fear about failure?
  • Am I worried about the person I am thinking about working with?

What I used to Worry about when starting my business Vs. What I worry about today!

Episode 55

When I first started Meraki Media Management, I was stressed out constantly.

When I first thought about starting a business, I thought my life is going to be pure bliss, it's going to be such a great feeling, I can control my own schedule, I'll be less stressed etc…

In reality this was far from true. I actually became more riddled with anxiety. And today I still deal with some of these emotions, so I really wanted to share this part of my story with you all.

Most entrepreneurs when they’re talking about their journey that dont always give the good bad and the ugly, but honestly that's just not my style. So here it is… starting a business was one of the hardest things I have ever done. And I know many people are probably thinking well you’re so young, of course, I have seen a lot in my short life time, and even after grieving and losing close family members, this business still gave me more anxiety than greif at times.

And once I started to see patterns emerging over and over again, like most people in this industry, I decided to start digging. Where the hell was this coming from? And how could I make this constant emotion of stress disappear?

Are you living in a constant state of stress?

“Faith it till you make it” - @thetiffanywynn

Episode 54

Marketing doesn't come easy for everyone, especially when it comes to a solopreneur business. Most of the time my clients say it's just really uncomfortable talking about themselves, that's why they might work with me through coaching or management. Because when you bring in fresh eyes, we can see all that you have to offer.

But even speaking for myself I have realized when you’re in it everyday for 3 years, it's easy to forget how far you have actually come. It's hard to remember where you started, and the more you grow, it's important to look back and say - Hey, you did this, you started this from nothing, and that's pretty cool!

In  this week's podcast episode we're interviewing @thetiffanywynn Tiffany has some amazing nuggets of knowledge in this episode, it's definitely one of my favorites!

Power of Intuition with Susan Padron

Episode 53

Following your intuition is a necessity in everything we do in life, it's in business, relationships, shopping, etc. Our intuition teaches ourselves to be trustworthy with who we are and what we decide to do. It truly can guide us towards finding unconditional love for ourselves. It's something I am still working to connect with on a soul level.

Once I started working with I learned that trusting yourself will help build awareness as well. Susan helps her clients learn how to connect with their intuition, and since I have been a part of her journey. Her knowledge has taught me that sometimes it's not easy to make a decision like even getting dressed in the morning.

This week's podcast episode Susan and I will be diving in deep to discuss intuition, style, building a business and more about her story!

Social Media - The form of Expression

Episode 52

I am so passionate about social media because I find it so fun to connect with every single one of you. This is a place to discuss and express ourselves as entrepreneurs and women. It's a gift to be able to share our point of views and discuss them together on this platform. But at the same time it can also be hindered by the haters. So how can we find the balance between expression, business, community building and not pissing people off?

Here's the thing - people will always have opinions about others opinions. It comes down to us knowing that our opinions are valid, and so is the person that has a completely different perspective/opinion on this platform.

We need to remember that we as consumers have a choice to engage or not engage with content. We can decide as community leaders who has a spot in our community and who doesn't. If I offend someone or if someone offends me, I like to think about that feeling. What is this bringing up for me? Why do I feel this intense emotion? Most of the time it has to do with me - not them.

And if someone continues to feel an emotion that is unhealthy, maybe it's become a pattern with this other person, sometimes cutting ties is the best way to go. However I hope as a society, we can get to a place where understanding that other opinions are valid, even if we disagree, is just a part of life.
